All-in careers for Jesus

Equipping a generation for strategic careers that make disciples.

Fruitful Work is a growing movement helping Christian students and young adults to choose and use their career to make disciples. Founded by Cambridge students, we now work with universities and churches across the UK and into the US and Europe.

We operate broadly across the church, partnering widely, especially with UCCF, Fusion and Gospel Patrons. We subscribe to the Evangelical Alliance basis of faith.

Our vision

Our vision is bold. We’re reimagining the entire narrative around careers, from something people do to a primary engine of disciple-making.

Previous generations played their part: Wesley sparked a revival, Wilberforce stood against slavery, and Lady Huntingdon funded church plants across the nation.

What will our generation do?

Our dream is for every Christian to embrace Jesus’ mission of making disciples of all nations - to join the next generation of Wesley’s, Wilberforces, and Huntington's, and help transform the world with him.

Together, we’re going all-in for Jesus.

Our message

We have three focus areas:

Five practices of a Fruitful Worker

These lead on from our three focus areas and underpin our content. To aim for the greatest disciple-making impact I commit to:

  1. Abide dailyI seek Jesus first
  2. Work strategicallyI choose and use my career for maximum impact
  3. Live simplyI cap my lifestyle to give radically
  4. Give effectivelyI give where it will produce the most fruit
  5. Disciple intentionallyI multiply impact by raising up other fruitful workers

Our model

We’re building a global movement of students and young adults who are all-in for making the biggest possible career impact for Jesus. Our approach is both wide and deep.

A deep reach through:

  • The All-in Challenge — an in-depth experience run by students, professionals and churches, delivered to groups of 6–12 over a weekend or through a six-week series.
  • Student committees and events in Cambridge, Oxford, Durham, LSE and Imperial.
  • Our National Gathering (9th January 2027) — a day for 300 young adults to practically explore how their careers can make the biggest impact.

A wide reach through:

  • Our book, All-in: Your Christian Career Guide, with 10,000 copies going out to students and young adults.
  • Speaking at churches and CUs, including at UCCF Forum.
  • Short-form video released every three days on Instagram, YouTube and TikTok, currently reaching around 120,000 views a month.

Our dream

By 2030, we aim to be shifting the career trajectories of 1,000 young people every year, raising up the next generation of Wesleys, Wilberforces and Huntingdons.

£2bnUnlocked for the kingdom

The numbers are striking. For example, if just 200 of them become gospel patrons in the highest-earning roles, each giving an average of £10 million over their lifetime, this single cohort would unlock £2 billion for the kingdom.

Our partners:

We believe the entire body of Christ has a part to play in God’s plan of redeeming the world. So we’re actively seeking partnerships with other organisations. We’ve run events or distributed our resources across a number of cities with UCCF, Fusion, Gospel Patrons, Missional Labs, Just Love, Stewardship and the Everything Network.

We’re also working to formalise our partnerships with workplace, leadership and generosity ministries including Onelife, 9:38, Work+Go, Wilberforce Collective, CARE, Maclellan Foundation, All Access International, Engineering Ministries International, Frontier Operators, FaithTech, Kingdom Business Champions, Association of Christian Teachers, Lawyers Christian Fellowship, Missional AI, Christians in Media, Christian Medical Fellowship, Faith Driven Movement, She Sells Purple, Grounded Network, LICC, Lymington Rushmore, Stewards Trust.
